We can supply individuals or organizations with detailed information on V-Team opportunities at SMD. Or we can meet with you and together work out a role for you or

your family in the many services at SMD.

SMD has been making a difference in the lives of persons with disabilities throughout Manitoba for many years. Therapy, counseling, job training and placement, literacy, mobility, transportation, and community awareness - a full range of services to enrich lives and promote equality.

Whatever the need, SMD has been there. So have our volunteers, earning a reputation as some of the most talented and dedicated people working in the volunteer sector today.

Join SMD’s V-Team. Make a Difference.

V-Team volunteers are a diverse group. Because SMD does so much, there are almost limitless opportunities to meet the diverse interests of volunteers. V-Team players are involved in recreation and camp programs, community living projects, preschool education, job training, fund raising, and even administration and communications.

Clearly the skills and knowledge that SMD volunteers gain from their experience will stay with them for life. But equally important is the satisfaction of having played a part in other people’s lives and in one’s own community.
