Position Papers

From time to time, SMD releases the organization’s official views on specific disability issues in the form of a “position paper.”

These papers are an extension of SMD’s philosophies, showing the approach and perspective the organization has with respect to an issue. Position papers are also meant to serve as a starting point for meaningful thought and dialogue on how an issue can be resolved in a way that best serves the needs of the Manitobans living with disabilities who are most impacted by the issue at hand.

We invite you to take a look at our position papers to see where we stand on some specific issues – and to decide for yourself whether or not any progress has been made since the paper was first released.
