January Disability Resource Digest online

January 14, 2010

January’s Disability Resource Digest is now available online.

This month’s DRD features a profile on a recent vote by the University of British Columbia’s student council to reject the installation of a disability representative, as well as one on a recent flood of support for disability advocacy at the University of Toronto.

It also features an in-depth look at ways to make online use easier and more accessible for members of the disability community, including case studies of companies taking up “good business” by hiring disability consultants and programmers.

For sports fans, there is an opinion piece on efforts by the NFL to curb traumatic brain injuries and damage among football players.

The Employment section includes a feature on the effects of the recession on disabled workers, and also a story on a ground-breaking disability job fair in Regina.

Download or read the DRD in PDF format or WORD format.
