How Funds are Used
Funds raised through SMD Foundation/Easter Seals™ Manitoba are managed according to the nationally-accepted Ethical Fundraising and Financial Accountability Code of Imagine Canada to ensure transparency and accountability to donors. The funds are invested and used to make new technology accessible by making it more affordable, to support disability-related research, to address the growing number of age-related disabilities, to provide better access to information and to break down the language and cultural barriers that can prevent people from accessing services.
