Endowment Funds
Over the years, numerous endowmnet funds have been established through SMD Foundation/Easter Seals™ Manitoba. Each endowment fund is used to support a specifc type of programming or aspect of service:
- Oakley Estate Endowment Fund: Established in 1994, supports SMD programs for children in Brandon and Minnedosa
- Lakeside Recreation/ Lifeskills Fund: Established in 1997, supports SMD recreation and/or lifeskills services
- Miller Research Fund: Established in 1997 for research
- Receptive Environment Fund: Established in 2002, supports services and programs to develop, maintain and enhance receptive and accommodating environment for persons with disabilities
- Easter Seals Lottery Endowment: Established in 1997, supports children’s services and programs through the Great Escape Lottery
- Assistive Technology Fund: Established in 2000, supports the purchase and distribution of special equipment and devices for people with disabilities through SMD Foundation
